BARRA β Opportunities & Talent Platform

ARTICLE 1 β DEFINITIONS
The following terms shall have the meanings set out below:
ARTICLE 2 β PURPOSE
These Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the BARRA Platform.
By creating an account or using BARRA, you unconditionally accept these Terms and our Privacy & Security Policy.
If you do not accept these conditions, you must immediately stop using the Platform.

BARRA strives to ensure 24/7 availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access due to scheduled maintenance, unforeseen technical failures, force majeure events, or third-party actions. BARRA reserves the right to temporarily suspend all or part of the service for maintenance or upgrades without liability.
ARTICLE 4 β REGISTRATION & ACCOUNT
4.1 Eligibility
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials, all activities on your account, and immediately informing BARRA of any unauthorized use. It is forbidden to share your password, create multiple accounts, impersonate others, or sell/transfer your account.
4.3 Verified Profiles (Blue Badge)
BARRA offers a verified profile system with a blue badge certifying account authenticity. Benefits include increased trust, priority visibility in search results, and early access to opportunities. Verification is free upon request.
ARTICLE 5 β USER OBLIGATIONS
5.1 General Obligations
Every User agrees to use BARRA lawfully, not infringe on the rights of BARRA or other users, provide accurate information, not attempt to bypass security measures, not use BARRA for illegal purposes, respect other users' privacy, and pay commissions and fees owed.
5.2 Prohibited Content
It is strictly forbidden to publish or transmit via BARRA: defamatory, discriminatory, racist, or hateful content; pornographic or obscene material; intellectual property violations; terrorism apology; false or fraudulent information; malware; spam; or offers of prohibited services.
5.3 Prohibited Barras
ARTICLE 6 β POSTING BARRAS & OPPORTUNITIES
6.1 Posting Barras (Professionals)
Before posting, accurately describe the task, specify exact location, set a schedule and estimated duration, propose fair compensation (minimum 30 MAD/hour recommended), and specify required skills or equipment. Barras are published immediately after automated AI moderation.
6.2 Posting Opportunities (Companies)
Opportunities include internships, junior positions, hackathons, contests, and project funding. They are manually verified by the BARRA team within 48 hours. Companies are solely responsible for the accuracy of published information and compliance with Moroccan labour law.
ARTICLE 7 β MATCHING & NOTIFICATIONS
BARRA uses an AI algorithm to automatically match students with barras/opportunities based on skills, location, availability, history, ratings, and profile preferences. Users receive notifications for new matches, applications, messages, payments, ratings, and gamification achievements.
ARTICLE 8 β PAYMENTS & TRANSACTIONS
8.1 Barra Payment Process
1. Professional posts a barra β 2. Student applies and is accepted β 3. Student completes the task β 4. Professional validates completion β 5. Payment is released automatically (within 24h).

BARRA charges a 5% to 10% commission on each barra payment, borne by the professional.
8.4 Refunds
ARTICLE 9 β RATING & REPUTATION
BARRA uses a mutual rating system (1β5 stars + comment) to ensure quality and trust. Ratings are based on punctuality, work quality, communication, and respect. Defamatory, fraudulent, or paid ratings are forbidden and may be removed.
ARTICLE 10 β GAMIFICATION
Students earn BARRA points by completing their profile, finishing barras, receiving high ratings, applying to opportunities, participating in hackathons, and referring friends. Badges (Bronze, Silver, Gold) unlock with milestones. The top 10 monthly students receive increased visibility, exclusive badges, and early access to sponsored opportunities.
ARTICLE 11 β CHAT & MESSAGING
The integrated chat enables communication between students, professionals, and companies. Users must stay courteous and professional, and must not exchange sensitive banking information or share illegal content. Messages are retained for 1 year after the last exchange.
ARTICLE 12 β INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The name, logo, source code, AI algorithms, and databases of BARRA are the exclusive property of BARRA SARL. You retain ownership of your published content but grant BARRA a worldwide, non-exclusive, free, and transferable licence to display, reproduce, and use it on the platform and for promotional purposes.
ARTICLE 13 β BARRA'S LIABILITY
BARRA is a technical intermediary. It is not liable for profile accuracy, barra quality, disputes between users, accidents, payment defaults, data loss, or AI matching errors. Liability is limited to direct damages and capped at commissions collected over the past 12 months.
ARTICLE 14 β SUSPENSION & TERMINATION
BARRA may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, non-payment, fraud, prohibited content, abuse, persistent low ratings, identity theft, or legal requests β without prior notice. Users may delete their account at any time via Settings > Profile > Delete Account.
ARTICLE 15 β DATA PROTECTION
Your personal data processing is detailed in our Data Protection Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. For questions: privacy@barraa.tech.
ARTICLE 16 β REPORTING & COMPLAINTS
Any user may report illegal content via abuse@barraa.tech or the in-app "π© Report" button. BARRA commits to processing reports within 48 hours. For service complaints: support@barraa.tech β response within 5 business days.
ARTICLE 17 β FORCE MAJEURE
BARRA shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, general strikes, power or network outages, massive cyberattacks, government decisions, or pandemics.
ARTICLE 18 β AMENDMENTS
BARRA reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any substantive modification will be notified by email and/or in-app notification 15 days before taking effect. Continued use of BARRA after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
ARTICLE 19 β GENERAL PROVISIONS
ARTICLE 20 β APPLICABLE LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by Moroccan law (DOC, law 53-05, law 09-08, Labour Code 65-99). In case of dispute, parties commit to seeking an amicable solution first. Failing that, the courts of Casablanca, Morocco have sole jurisdiction.
