1. STATUS AND ROLE OF BARRA
BARRA is a technical intermediary under Moroccan law 53-05. BARRA is NOT:
- An employer of students
- An agent of young professionals or companies
- A recruitment or placement agency
- A party to contracts concluded between users
2. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
Students
- Accuracy of CV, portfolio, and skills
- Conscientious completion of accepted barras
- Respect for schedules and instructions
- Professional and safe conduct
- Tax declaration of income (if applicable)
Young Professionals
- Legality and decency of posted barras
- Fair and market-rate compensation
- Payment within deadlines (24h after validation)
- Providing a safe working environment
- Respect and non-discrimination towards students
Companies
- Legality of posted opportunities
- Compliance with the Moroccan Labour Code (internships, jobs)
- Fair treatment of applications
- Confidentiality of consulted profiles
- Payment of promised prizes (hackathons, funding)
3. LIMITATION OF BARRA'S LIABILITY
BARRA is NOT liable for:
- The accuracy of published profiles, CVs, and portfolios
- The quality of barras performed by students
- Disputes between students and young professionals/companies
- Accidents occurring during the completion of a barra
- Delays or payment defaults between users
- Data loss due to system failure or cyberattack
- Errors in the AI matching algorithm
- Fraudulent behaviour of other users
4. LIABILITY CAP
In case of proven BARRA liability, compensation shall not exceed:
- Free users: 500 MAD per incident
- Premium subscribers: Amount of subscriptions paid over 12 months
Exclusion: Gross negligence, fraud, bodily injury.
5. SECURITY AND PROTECTION
Technical Measures
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all communications
- Passwords hashed with bcrypt
- JWT tokens with automatic expiration
- WAF firewall and intrusion detection
- Daily encrypted backups (30-day retention)
- Anonymized geolocation (reduced precision)
In Case of Data Breach
- CNDP notification within 72 hours
- Direct notification to affected users
- Immediate corrective measures
- Post-incident transparency report
6. RECOMMENDED INSURANCE
Students
- Civil liability insurance (accidents during barras)
- Health/accident insurance (recommended)
Young Professionals
- Home insurance (for home-based barras)
- Civil liability
Companies
- Professional civil liability
- Workers' compensation insurance (for interns/employees)
7. COMPLAINT PROCEDURE

Response time: 10 business days
Process:
- Acknowledgment of receipt (48h)
- Internal investigation with request for evidence
- Mediation between parties
- Final decision notified by email
External mediation: Casablanca Mediation Centre — contact@cmc.ma
8. REPORTING TO AUTHORITIES
BARRA cooperates with Moroccan authorities for any case of:
- Fraud, scam, money laundering
- Identity theft
- Illegal content (child pornography, terrorism apology)
- Illegal exercise of a regulated profession
- Hidden labour or exploitation
Authorities: CNDP, DGI, BCIJ, DGSN
9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
BARRA DOES NOT GUARANTEE:
- That the platform will be free of errors or bugs
- That AI matching will always be relevant
- That information published by users is accurate
- That transactions will proceed without dispute
- That you will make a profit or avoid a loss
BARRA provides the platform "AS IS" without warranty of merchantability.
10. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
Applicable law: Moroccan law (DOC, law 53-05, law 09-08, Labour Code 65-99)
Amicable resolution: Mandatory mediation before legal action (60 days max)
Jurisdiction: Courts of Casablanca, Morocco
